Prop firm consistency calculator

Have one big day on a consistency-rule evaluation? This calculator shows exactly how much more you need to make on other days before the evaluation can pass — and the balance you'll need to reach.

How it works: under a consistency rule, no single day may account for more than the rule percentage of your total profit. A big day is diluted by adding profit on other days — the required total is simply biggest day ÷ rule %. You must also reach the profit target, so the passing total is whichever is higher. One catch to plan around: red days shrink your total, which pushes your biggest day's percentage back up.

Worked example: one $3,000 day on a $50K Rapid-style eval

Profit target $3,000, consistency rule 50%. You make the full $3,000 in a single day. You have hit the target — but that day is 100% of your total profit, and the rule allows at most 50%. Required total: $3,000 ÷ 0.50 = $6,000. You need $3,000 more, spread over other days, and no single one of those days may itself end up over 50% of your final total (so keep each under $3,000 at a $6,000 total — under $3,250 if you aim for $6,500). Passing balance: $50,000 + $6,000 = $56,000.

Two planning notes from real experience with this math: aim a little past the minimum (target a $6,200–$6,500 total, not exactly $6,000) so one small red day doesn't put you back over the line — and remember that in the funded stage many firms drop the consistency rule but switch drawdown to real-time trailing, so the plan changes the day you pass. Always confirm the current rules on your firm's own pages; plan rules change.
