Copy trading on MyFundedFutures: what's allowed, what to watch
MyFundedFutures is one of the most popular futures prop firms, and a lot of its traders run several evaluations at once. Here's what MFFU's own documentation says about trade copying, and the account rules that matter most when you copy.
Does MFFU allow trade copying?
Per MFFU's own Help Center (checked October 2026): yes — copying your own trades across your own accounts is allowed, including with external copier tools. Two conditions matter. First, the trades must be yours: copying another trader's signals is prohibited under their fair-play rules. Second, the liability is yours — MFFU doesn't support or reset accounts affected by copier problems. Read their current help articles yourself before you rely on this; rules change, and your account is your responsibility.
The rules that bite copier users
The consistency rule (Rapid evaluations)
Rapid-plan evaluations carry a consistency rule — on the $50K Rapid plan, no single day may be more than 50% of your total evaluation profit. Copying doesn't create this problem, but it standardizes it: one big day on your master is one big day on every follower, and each of those evals now needs dilution days before it can pass. Do the math before you're in it: our consistency calculator shows exactly how much more each account needs, and the multi-account guide covers the general setup.
Trailing drawdown — EOD in eval, real-time when funded
On the $50K Rapid, max drawdown trails end-of-day during evaluation and switches to real-time trailing once funded. A copied position sized off the master's balance can sit much closer to a smaller follower's floor. Size each follower against its own drawdown room, and remember the funded stage trails during the day, not after it.
The 7-day inactivity rule
MFFU evaluations carry an inactivity rule: go more than 7 calendar days without activity and the account is at risk. A fleet makes this easy to forget — an account you only copy to occasionally still needs its own activity, and if you're taking a break, MFFU's help center says to notify support. Check each account's date in your dashboard rather than assuming they're all the same.
Position limits
The $50K Rapid caps position size (5 contracts on that plan, with micro scaling). A copier multiplier that produces more than the cap on a follower will simply be rejected — or worse, partially filled. Set the copier's per-follower quantity cap at or below the plan limit.
A sane MFFU fleet setup
- Trade one master account by hand; copy to the rest. Never let the master be a follower of anything.
- Map size to the account, not the ego: NQ on the master can copy as MNQ on smaller evals.
- Cap every follower's quantity and set a per-follower daily loss limit comfortably inside the $2,000 drawdown — so the copier stops a follower's day before the firm does.
- Prove the pipeline dry-run → one test account → small size, the same sequence as our setup guide, and glance at every account's activity date weekly so the inactivity rule never sneaks up on you.
